A Letter from the CEO

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting the SOS Children’s Villages Illinois website. I hope you found it informative. Your interest in our mission allows us to assure that brothers and sisters can live productive lives and grow into caring and self reliant adults. Your support provides a bright future for children who often have been neglected or abused.

One such child is Matt who arrived at an SOS Children’s Village as a baby. Today, Matt excels in sports and in his academic life. However, when Matt first came to us his outlook was uncertain. Doctors believed that due to medical complications that Matt would never walk or function as a normal child. It was only through the individual commitment of an SOS professionally trained foster mother and the reassurance of the Village that allowed Matt to improve beyond anyone’s expectations. This can only occur when people choose to make a difference.

Your support is essential in making that difference each day for the over 160 children who call SOS home. I hope you will explore each page and find out the many ways you can help us make that difference.
